Research interests:

Controlled synthesis of various porous materials (zeolites, MOFs, COFs)

Catalysis and energy storage based on these porous materials

Atomic TEM imaging of beam-sensitive materials and small molecules

In situ TEM towards catalysis, mechanics, electronics and energy storage (Lab-in-TEM)

 

Achievements:

I have been engaged in the research of nanomaterials and advanced electron microscopy. Since 2017, I have assisted the purchase, installation, start-up and daily operation of a Cs-corrected S/TEM in the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tsinghua University. As the leader of our microscopic team, we developed the iDPC-STEM for various beam-sensitive and light-element materials based on this Cs-corrected S/TEM. We have achieved the highest imaging level in the world for zeolites, metal-organic frameworks and confined small molecules. Such electron microscopy has been applied into the applications of adsorption, catalysis and energy storage. Articles published as the first author include: Nature, Nature Communications (2), Advanced Materials (4). In just three years, we have established a high-efficiency, high-quality and high-yield electron microscope center, aiming for the leading level of advanced electron microscopy.
