Ya-Kun Wang received his Ph.D. degree in Chemistry from Soochow University in 2020 under the supervision of Prof. Liang-Sheng Liao (International Visiting Graduate Student (IVGS) in Edward Sargent group from 2018-2020). Afterwards, he has been a postdoctoral fellow at University of Toronto and at Soochow University.

Research interests

Ya-Kun Wang's research focuses on using emerging semiconductors to enable high-performance light-emitting diodes (LEDs) in the shortwave IR and mid-wave IR regions. He has co-authored over 50 publications, including Nat. Nanotechnol., Nat. Commun., Sci. Adv.,Adv. Mater., J. Am. Chem. Soc.,Angew. Chem. Int. Ed.et.al.
